Ready when you are.
Close to the sale yards of the South East, the Island Plantation Ranch is ideally situated to background feeder calves for Gottsch Cattle Company. Calves purchased during the day can be home and in bed that night – easing the transition.
Abundant rain makes for a generous supply of Bermuda grass – enough to accommodate 12,000 to 15,000 head of cattle each year. Caring for these cattle is no small task.
A crew of four are responsible for the cattle feeding, nutrition, health and overall condition. That means knowing what you’re doing – when, where and how. And it means having the skills to get the job done – feeding, pen riding and seeing to their overall health and well-being.
Like all Gottsch Cattle Company operations, the expectations are high at Island Plantation. So are the rewards. Competitive pay and housing, vacation, benefits, incentives and even a 401k for retirement, plus a work environment where you can get ahead by proving yourself. And a management style that invites you to put in your two-cents – and be heard.
Get on here and you’ll be glad you did.
